LOCATION:

San Diego, California but open to applicants working remotely

DESCRIPTION:

Do you love writing and are passionate about wildlife conservation? Do you want to help us bring the Key app to the world? Key Conservation is looking for a grant writing volunteer who will identify funding opportunities and draft proposals that will help support our infrastructure and the continued development of the app.

POTENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Locate fundraising and grant opportunities

Research and draft proposals

Help prepare materials for donors and investors

If interested, potential to help assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events

SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school degree required

Excellent written and verbal skills

Past writing experience preferred

Enjoys research and is detailed oriented

Passion and optimism for the natural world a must, experience in the conservation field a plus but not required

Able to work in a fast-paced startup environment and be willing to be flexible

Must be able to work as part of a team

LENGTH AND COMPENSATION:
Hours and length: 3 months and schedule is flexible to fit the applicant’s availability

This position is unpaid but we are passionate about helping our volunteers gain valuable skills and connections to advance their career in conservation.

Willing to provide school credit, if applicable
