Overview of the role
The Volunteer Recruitment Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and management of recruiting volunteers. At a time when we are quickly growing and scaling the number of volunteers needed for our crisis services, this individual will innovate on current volunteer processes to ensure volunteers are screened, background checked, and onboarded in an efficient and effective manner to always ensure a sufficient number of volunteers to support our life-saving mission. The Volunteer Recruitment Manager, will oversee the daily operations of the volunteer recruiters and build connections with the work of multiple teams including the Marketing, Corporate Development, Volunteer Training and Crisis Services teams.

What you’ll do:
Develop and execute a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy to ensure sufficient support for all Trevor programs
Innovate on current protocols for attracting, assessing, screening and onboarding potential volunteers to ensure volunteers meet the needs of the organization
Manage, coach and support a team of volunteer recruiters to ensure high-level performance and incorporation of best practices into their work
Ensure accuracy, consistency and maintenance of applicant information within Trevor’s volunteer database
Serve as a primary spokesperson for our volunteer program and its needs by clearly articulating to external audiences Trevor’s mission, the work that we do, and the opportunities for amazing people to volunteer with Team Trevor
Collaborate with department and program leads to assess all volunteer needs
Analyze data and use metrics to build and assess a diverse and highly-qualified volunteer base to meet volunteer recruitment goals across the organization
Ensure a high level of customer service for all potential volunteers, including referrals and corporate volunteers
