Associate Product Manager

Zearn is looking for an Associate Product Manager who is passionate about solving complex problems and translating solutions into delightful experiences for students. As a member of our product team, you’ll work collaboratively to define and prioritize new features, manage weekly development sprints, and lead research projects to help Zearn build an excellent Middle School student product.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with engineers, designers, and educators to define, prioritize, and deliver high quality digital experiences for students
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process:
    • Deeply understand the needs of students and teachers in Zearn classrooms, and translate those needs into detailed product requirements, specifications, and timelines
    • Partner with Zearn’s design team to develop wireframes and visual layouts
    • Work with Zearn’s engineering team to plan and sequence development
    • Ensure features are delivered on time and function as desired
    • Communicate new features and gather feedback internally and externally
    • Analyze user data to improve students’ learning experience
  • Visit schools to learn from and collaborate with students and teachers, testing and refining new product concepts
  • Lead projects to develop Zearn’s product strategy and learning approach as our team launches into middle school math

Ideal candidates will have:

  • 3+ years of work experience in product, education technology, consulting, or related field
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from planning through execution
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to manage multiple projects on tight timelines
  • A desire to collaborate and a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • UX sensibility to create excellent experiences for kids and teachers
  • Excitement to understand and learn an existing and complex system
  • Commitment to Zearn’s mission of providing an exceptional education to all children
  • A love of learning, and a love of math
  • A desire to join an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment at a high-growth organization
  • Experience with agile software development a plus
