While the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is predicting that 99.9% of critically endangered species will be lost within the next 100 years, scientists are still using archaic methods like paper forms to run their conservation programs. If we want to get a chance to reverse the 6th extinction of species, we need to develop tools that the scientific community can use to gather, analyze data and adjust their conservation programs to save endangered marine species from extinction.

Today AMMCO is building a global online collaboration project, SIREN, with tech contributors from all over the world who team up with marine biologists to develop tools that scientists, governments, and fishermen communities can use to protect endangered marine life.
