The Center for New Data is dedicated to democratizing knowledge from complex or gated datasets. They use an end-to-end data and research platform to create new insights from previously untapped datasets and advance research for the public interest. Since 2020, their R&D Lab has launched projects focused on measuring long lines at the ballot box, mapping Communities of Interest for redistricting, and tracking COVID-19 superspreader events. Their work is driven by a small team of staff, an esteemed group of advisors, and a national technical volunteer corps composed of 300+ leading data scientists, engineers, and product managers.
