Classroom, Inc. is a nonprofit that helps students in high-poverty communities develop literacy and leadership skills. By creating digital learning games and curriculum set in the professional world and supporting educators in creating student-centered classrooms, we invite students to take charge of their learning. For 25 years, Classroom, Inc. has worked to engage students in school and help them build essential literacy and leadership skills. The inspiration for the organization was born out of a successful partnership between Morgan Stanley colleagues and Columbia Teacher’s College that resulted in simulation software in which students acted as managers of a business.
