CoachMe is a tech platform to scale health coaching to low-income women with cardiovascular disease (CVD). Health coaching is a powerful and underutilized tool with proven impact on low-income populations. Instead of confronting health challenges alone in between sparse doctor’s appointments, CoachMe patients have daily contact with a certified peer health coach through a secure mobile app. Over a six-month program, coaches provide motivational support and accountability based on individual data (like weight and blood pressure tracking). Patients record their goals and progress in the app, and coaches check-in and build a personal relationship by text message and video calls to develop healthy habits together.
