The mission of embraceKulture is to create a world where children with disabilities are embraced and empowered to be who they want to be. We work in East Africa where children with disabilities remain the most vulnerable. embraceKulture is redefining the distribution of professional development and resource information utilizing the mobile phone. With access to information at their fingertips, we empower teachers and parents to become agents of change and improve the quality of education for special needs learners in both traditional and non-traditional settings. We focus on education because education can change everything. It is the first spark of advocacy. It changes attitudes. It provides skills to help prove disability is not inability. It is the opportunity for a better future.
