GiveInternet.org is a nonprofit platform on a mission to help underprivileged high school students realize their full potential by giving them Internet access. We started our project in refugee settlements and rural areas of Georgia. With monthly recurring donations from individuals and corporations, we equip disadvantaged students with laptops, Internet, educational resources of our partners like Khan Academy and Code.org, mentorship and training. Our platform is simple and transparent. It takes 3 minutes to register as a monthly donor. The story of each student, each donor, cost, and partner is documented on the website and donors receive transparency reports with detailed costs. Our project provides incentives for local ISPs to expand coverage to areas that weren’t considered profitable before.
