Build Up works on emergent challenges to peace in a digital age and emergent opportunities to transform conflict with digital technologies. To support the use of digital technologies, we work with organizations both to identify emergent challenges to peace in a digital age and to capitalize on emergent opportunities from the use of digital technologies. We also lead participatory interventions to transform conflicts happening in digital spaces, with a special focus on polarization on social media. We have three clusters of focused support: (i) supporting peace innovators to design/implement tech interventions to peacebuilding; (ii) overcoming digital conflict through research/interventions to address polarization; and (iii) performing participatory data research about conflict and peace.
