We know that 1 in 3 Americans can’t afford a $400 emergency and too many are falling through the cracks. NeighborShare has built a web platform and network of local nonprofits that connects people who need help with people who want to help. When a local nonprofit identifies a pivotal need for a household that would otherwise go unmet– like a car repair, apartment security deposit, or childcare enrollment fee, for example – they submit a request to the NeighborShare platform where our community of donors can immediately donate to meet that need. To date, NeighborShare donors have helped 7,000 households with more than $650,000.
