Open Food Facts was founded in 2012. Kind of a Wikipedia of food, it has patiently built a community of contributors gathering food product data all over the world. Starting from 2011-2018, Open Food Facts became a widely used database and scanning app in a few European countries: France, Belgium, Switzerland. In 2022, we gathered more than 2,390,000 all over the world -- 20 countries with more than 6000 products. More than 160 mobiles apps are reusing our open data.
