Phoenix Space was created to address the consequences of the Syrian crisis on refugee children’s education, by developing practical solutions as a joint effort. With this project, we aim to establish a unique STEM Programme taught to displaced students and underprivileged students from the host communities, promoting greater integration and creating an ecosystem of partnership with a variety of organisations.

Phoenix Space is part of the 'Call to Orbit' readiness program run by Open Cosmos and the European Space Agency. As a first of its kind, thanks to this collaboration, the program will culminate with an in-orbit experiment aboard a satellite, where the students will build, test and use the apparatus to take useful data from low-earth orbit.
