Rajo is a Somali word which means 'hope'. RajoFund is a crowdfunding platform that was created with the goal of helping Africa. RajoFund was founded in 2017 by Duraan Ali. Ali spent most of his childhood and adolescence in Somalia and faced many difficult and often traumatizing ordeals including a mine explosion, several gunshot wounds and more. Fortunately,. Later, Ali and his family fled to Kenya and then immigrated to Minnesota. Ali was inspired to create RajoFund after not only being on the receiving end but also working first hand with NGOS.
