RE-volv empowers anyone in the world to take meaningful action on climate change by supporting solar energy. RE-volv is a San Francisco-based nonprofit that provides commercial solar financing for the 1.5 million nonprofits and 30,000 cooperatives across the U.S., like a place of faith or nature center. RE-volv crowdfunds tax deductible donations from people around the world to finance the cost of the solar energy installation for the organization. Through a 20 year solar lease, the organization pays RE-volv back, while saving up to 15% on electric costs. RE-volv puts these payments into a revolving fund, that with compounding interest, will grow and finance more solar installations. RE-volv has helped three Bay Area organizations go solar and is now scaling nationally.
