In addition to our work in disrupting the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness and abuse, YWCA Silicon Valley is dedicated to providing quality STEM and computer science education programs through student-centered content, experiences, and role models. YWCA Silicon Valley, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Santa Clara University jointly created Curated Pathways to Innovation™ (CPI), an app that helps to set women and underrepresented minorities on the path to STEM careers. CPI™ is a game-changing model driving a collective impact approach to engage young women and underrepresented minorities in STEM in Silicon Valley and beyond. The web- based application guides and incentivizes students’ success through gamification analytics and a recommendation algorithm, a virtual coach.
