Meet our Partnerships Manager: Hillary Baker Draper

Fast Forward welcomes Hillary Baker Draper as Partnerships Manager. Below she shares her story:

Some might say that I’m a nonprofit super fan. From interning with nonprofits while a student at Tufts University, to participating in an Americorps Year of Service upon graduating, to working for and volunteering with nonprofits as a professional in the Bay Area.

I’d say they’re right.

Naturally, after learning about Fast Forward I was immediately drawn to the mission, the team, and the approach. I’ve seen first-hand the many resource constraints facing nonprofits and the ways in which technology can both support and supplement the people power-driving social impact.

Prior to joining the Fast Forward team, I was an early employee at the nonprofit startup EducationSuperHighway. We worked to upgrade every K-12 public school in the U.S. to high-speed broadband so that all students have access to the promise of digital learning. While there, I built and managed key partnerships with state education agencies and school district associations to drive internet connectivity solutions.

I’m so excited to meet and work with all of the amazing people and partners powering Fast Forward’s accelerator and products.

Outside of work, I enjoy cheering on Chicago sports teams, fly fishing, cooking and eating, taking various classes (most recently a 6-week gardening series!), making pottery and doing puzzles — aka “puzzling” for those of you out there who are also avid puzzlers.
