Brackets For Good (bfg.org) hosts single-elimination, competitive fundraising tournaments for local nonprofits online. The purpose is to raise the awareness of individual nonprofits, attract new supporters, connect the host community with corporate, nonprofit, and individual participation, and educate nonprofits about online marketing and fundraising. Organizations go head-to-head in a six-round, bracket-style tournament over five weeks. During each round, nonprofits are matched with an 'opponent' that they must out-fundraise in order to proceed. Each dollar donated through Brackets For Good scores one point for the chosen organization. Nonprofits retain all funds raised, regardless of advancement.
