Founded by English teachers in 2013, CommonLit is a nonprofit edtech organization that leverages the power of innovative technology and great literature to produce measurable gains in adolescent literacy rates at scale. At, teachers can access a free collection of high-quality, high-interest curriculum and formative assessment tools that they can use to spark college-level classroom debate and measure student mastery of key reading and writing standards. Since its founding, CommonLit has won numerous awards and has grown to serve an international audience from its home at the 1776 global tech incubator in Washington, D.C.
