The past two years have taken a toll on educators: a recent NEA survey found that 55% of teachers plan to leave the profession or retire early, and a 2021 RAND study found that 78% of teachers report frequent job-related stress or anxiety. During the 2021-22 school year, the Colorado Department of Education reported that there were nearly 1,000 unfilled positions in the State. We’ve talked with hundreds of educators to understand what’s impacting their wellbeing, and we’ve learned that teachers are suffering from unmet mental and emotional health needs. Edwell’s mission is to improve educator wellbeing and career sustainability through wellness coaching. Our team of coaches, educators, and mental clinicians create inclusive spaces for reflection, connection, learning and wellness.
