Oppia is an open source education technology nonprofit that aims to provide students with quality education regardless of where they are or what traditional resources they have access to. Oppia's lessons — called explorations — help students learn in a fun and creative way, using videos, images, and open-ended questions. And since students often have similar misconceptions, Oppia also provides educators the ability to address these misconceptions directly within explorations, empowering them to provide targeted feedback to multiple students at a time. Oppia was originally founded as a 20% project at Google before being spun off into its own open source nonprofit. It is now maintained and contributed to by dozens of passionate educators and technologists around the world.
