The Open Source Election Technology Institute (OSET) is building on open, adaptable, flexible, full-featured, and innovative elections operating system called ElectOS. OSET is a non-profit organization for the purposes of advancing publicly available designs and specifications; any software or firmware that it creates is free. The work of the Institute is done through a core team of staff and a volunteer community including system and software designers and engineers, an outreach team, and experts in elections technology, digital voting technology, and trustworthy computing. The TrustTheVote Project is an initiative of the OSET Institute Inc., and works to advance electoral technology innovation to improve the voting experience and increase the integrity of elections and their outcomes.
