QUIPU supports the development of thriving place-based economies in marginalized communities to increase disposable income and promote community wealth creation. In spite of the fact that the majority of the population we are addressing is unbanked, low-income communities have resilient social bonds and identity, high capacity for entrepreneurship and innovation, and a high offer and demand for goods and services. We create community digital marketplaces designed to:

  1. Map and connect local prosumers,
  2. Create a trading system that through digital vouchers makes bartering more efficient;
  3. Transform the way creditworthiness is done and providing access to financial services based on data collected through the marketplace.
