Worldreader is about e-books, reading, and literacy. We are a US, Europe, and Africa-based nonprofit organization transforming the lives of people in the developing world. Our mission is to unlock the potential of millions of people through the use of digital books in places where access to reading materials is very limited. Using Kindles, mobile phones, and other digital technology, we reach readers in 69 countries, providing them with nearly 30,000 e-book titles in over 40 languages, from Kiswahili to Hausa. Worldreader currently works with over 140 publishers to acquire and digitize the most compelling and relevant content for our readers; 70% of our library comes from African and Indian publishers.
